Guide Productions is looking for a positive, self-motivated, creative professional to meet the position of a HTML/CSS Web Developer. The HTML/CSS Web Developer is a trusted resource for all aspects of the project concerning client-side or front-end technology, and will work alongside other front-end designers to create re-usable templates for rapidly growing web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee front-end development, deployment, and maintenance of large-scale web projects
- Convert mockups into highly optimized valid (X)HTML and CSS
- Work with developers to meet functional requirements
- Document methodologies and processes
- Assist in concept development
- Create re-usable and easily modifiable templates
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience directly related duties and responsibilities
- Expert in programming with CSS, (X)HTML
- 3+ years experience using JavaScript frameworks (preferably jQuery) and AJAX
- Thorough understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility
- Strong knowledge of User Interaction/Human Computer Interaction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven time management and multitasking skills
Desired Qualifications:
- A Computer Science degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Experience using Visual Studio and ASP.NET skins and master pages
- Portfolio of past projects and design blog
- Experience using scripting languages
- Search engine optimization strategies
- Flash / Photoshop / Illustrator
